Establishment and support of a new coordination, monitoring and advisory mechanism at the country level among actors (government authorities and NGOs) working on GBV.

This intervention includes:
Establishment of the inter-institutional working group;
Development of Action Plan to Combat GBV;
Experience and knowledge sharing between prominent role players.

The activities will be implemented in cooperation with the RoA Government. An inter-institutional  working group will be compiled of the representatives of RoA National Assembly, RoA Ministries of Labour and Social Affairs, Health, Education and Science, Territorial administration, Justice, RoA Police, General prosecutor’s and Ombudsman’s offices, international  organizations and local NGOs. One of the outcomes of the inter-institutional working group will be “RoA National Action Plan to combat GBV”.(UNFPA CP outcome 1).

Three regional teams will be established to ensure nation-wide coverage and a basis for an effective referral mechanism: one in the northern part of Armenia, the town of Vanadzor of Lori region (will cover Lori, Shirak and Tavush regions), another one in the South, in the town of Yeghegnadzor of Vayots Dzor region (will cover Ararat, Vayots Dzor and Syunik regions), and the last one in the Central Armenia, capital Yerevan (will cover Armavir, Aragatsotn, Kotayk and Gegharkunik regions). This will regionalize the referral mechanism to be established and raise the effectiveness of services to be provided.
