“Combating Gender-Based Violence in the South Caucasus” project (CGBV project) is a three-year initiative launched by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Armenia with financial support of the Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

The CGBV project aims at creating enabling environment for reduction of gender-based violence in Armenia and supporting the country in fulfilling its international obligations in the field of promoting gender equality, respect to and protection of women’s rights by means of carrying out activities in the fields of research and data collection, advocacy and awareness raising, enabling environment, capacity building, protection and rehabilitation of GBV victims and coordination and inter-country collaboration.

Our Partners

CGBV project is closely cooperating with various state and non-state partners in the field of promotion and protection of human rights, including women’s rights. The project also builds on the existing expertise and experiences in the field through promotion of synergies with other international actors in Armenia including: UN agencies (UNDP, UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNHCR, UNDPI), OSCE, Council of Europe, OSI, ILO, IOM, WHO, USAID, British Council, IREX, DFID, UMCOR, World Vision, AUA Turpanjian Center for Policy Analysis, American Bar Association/CEELI, Save the Children, and others.
